Protected zone for high-value products - PIN access, multiple cameras, separate packing

For high-value products - jewellery, watches, specialised electronics, limited runs - we have a separate protected zone in the warehouse. Access only with a PIN, a restricted people list, multiple cameras with 24/7 recording. Packing happens inside the zone and leaves directly for the courier.

What makes this zone different

It's not "a shelf in the corner" - it's a dedicated room with separate access control, separate cameras, a separate workflow. For you it's on-site insurance, before you need financial insurance. The protected zone fits into our fulfillment service as an add-on option.

01

PIN-controlled access

Entry only with a PIN code. Every access is logged - who, when, for how long. Without a PIN, there's physically no way in.

02

Restricted people list

A fixed list of 4-6 people have access. It doesn't change casually. Every change to the list requires management approval + documentation.

03

Multiple 360° cameras

Full coverage of the zone - no blind spots. 24/7 recording. A separate archive from the main warehouse, with an independent access log.

04

Packing inside the zone

The product doesn't leave the zone before it's packed and sealed. There's no moment when it's on the "common flow" unsealed.

05

Direct handover to the courier

The parcel is handed over directly from the zone to the courier, separate from the other parcels. It doesn't mix with the general volume.

How it works the process step by step

A dedicated workflow from receiving to courier handover - with full traceability at every stage.

BigArena protected zone for high-value products

1. Receiving directly in the zone

On an incoming shipment of high-value items, they don't go through general receiving. They move directly to the protected zone and are booked in on the spot, with two people present and video recording.

Every item gets a unique internal ID and is placed in a specific spot in the zone. The daily inventory count knows where each one should be.

2. Order processing inside the zone

When an order comes in for a high-value item, the system routes it to an authorised packer with PIN access. He enters the zone, takes the item and packs it on the spot - without leaving the zone.

The whole process is recorded by multiple cameras from different angles. The recording is kept separately from the standard QC archive.

Courier handover of high-value parcels

3. Direct handover to the courier

The packed parcel leaves the zone directly for the assigned courier - it doesn't get pooled with the other parcels, it doesn't sit on a shared dispatch shelf. The courier signs a handover protocol and takes the parcel with a unique tracking number.

For extra safety we prefer couriers with insured delivery and signature on receipt by default for parcels from this zone.

Daily inventory audit of the protected zone

4. Daily audit + monthly report

Every business day - an inventory count of the whole zone. Two people independently, documented in the system. Any gap between the system and the physical count is investigated right away, not left to "pile up".

Monthly you receive a report: how many items came in, how many left, current stock, any discrepancies and how they were handled. Full transparency.

Who our the protected zone

The zone is a service for customers with high-value products. It's not a "premium add-on" for every brand - it makes sense only for specific categories.

01

Jewellery and watches

Mid- to high-value products where losing a single item means a serious financial hit. The zone guarantees minimal risk on site.

02

Specialised electronics

Phones, laptops, drones, photo and video gear, gaming devices. Expensive products with high resale value and elevated internal theft risk.

03

Limited editions

Collector items, limited-edition clothing and footwear, artist collaborations. Items that can't be replaced if they're lost.

04

Specialised cosmetics

Niche perfumes, high-end cosmetics, handmade cosmetics. High-price products with high sensitivity to packaging.

05

Designer accessories

Designer bags, wallets, sunglasses, caps - a category with a high resale market and high sensitivity to provenance.

06

Specialised medical

Diagnostic devices, specialised medical products of high value that require additional control.

Frequently asked questions about the protected zone

Real questions from new customers before they move high-value products into our zone.

Which warehouses have a protected zone?

Currently the protected zone is only in our central warehouse in Plovdiv (4,200 sq m). We're planning an expansion in the new facility (9,000 sq m, under construction - 2026-2027). For customers in other countries we can organise a transfer to Plovdiv for packing.

Is there an extra fee for using the zone?

Yes, a small extra fee for protected handling - it covers the cost of separate storage and a separate workflow. The amount depends on the volume and value of the products. We discuss it individually in the consultation.

What's the insurance on products in the zone?

Standard warehouse insurance is included in our base service. For very high-value products (above a certain threshold) we recommend extended warehouse insurance with a higher damage/loss limit. We work with an insurer that offers specialised coverage for high-value inventory.

Can the customer see the packing recording?

Yes, on request. Every recording from the protected zone is accessible to the customer who owns the product through their account panel. We keep the recordings for between 30 and 90 days; for critical cases we can hold them for a longer period by contract.

What's the minimum value to make it worth using the zone?

There's no fixed minimum value. We discuss it individually - it depends on the product, category and volume. If you have even one SKU above 500 euro a piece, it's worth talking about. For standard products under 100 euro the zone usually isn't worth the extra fee.

Can I mix standard and high-value products in one account?

Yes. Your standard products sit in the general warehouse, the high-value ones - in the protected zone. On a combined order (the customer buys from both), we consolidate into one parcel by going through the protected zone for final packing.

Who has access to my products in the zone?

Only authorised packers from our team (4-6 people in total), plus the protected zone manager. If you're not one of our customers, not the owner - you don't have a PIN. Every access is logged. On request we can provide an access log for your products.
