When PrestaShop is the right choice

How the integration between PrestaShop and BigArena

Customer places an order
The buyer completes checkout in PrestaShop. Pays (card, COD, wallet). PrestaShop sets the order status to "Awaiting bank wire" or "Payment accepted".
The BigArena module catches the event
The module listens to the actionValidateOrder hook + status hooks. It sends the order data to the BigArena platform right after payment confirmation.
The warehouse team handles it
The BigArena team picks, packs with your branded materials and applies the label from the chosen courier. Usually under 2 hours for orders placed during business hours.
Status + tracking sync back
BigArena hits the REST endpoint on the module with the tracking + courier. The module changes the order status to "Shipped" and writes the tracking to the order courier meta. Automatic email to the customer.

You install the module
From PrestaShop Back Office → Modules Manager → Upload a module. Upload BigArena_Fulfillment.zip. Activate it. Compatible with PrestaShop 1.7.5+ and 8.x.
You configure the API + courier mapping
В Configure section, enter the BigArena API key. Map PrestaShop couriers to BigArena courier codes (for example "Speedy Express" → speedy_express). The module validates the connection.
SKU migration + go live
Map the products: PrestaShop SKU → BigArena stock SKU. For small catalogs (<500) - through the UI. For large ones - CSV bulk import. Ship the stock. Go live.

Which PrestaShop versions does the module work with?
Official support for PrestaShop 1.7.5+ and 8.x (including 8.1). For PrestaShop 1.6 (legacy) - not recommended, but we can build a custom bridge in special cases.
Does it work with multi-shop configurations?
Yes. Each PrestaShop shop can have its own BigArena account or a shared one. Warehouse routing rules are defined per shop. Handy for brands with separate BG/RO/EU stores under a single install.
Does it support multi-currency and multi-language?
Full support for native PrestaShop multi-currency and multi-language. Order data syncs in the buyer's local currency and language. The BigArena platform UI is in BG.
What about product combinations and variations?
Every combination is tracked as a separate SKU in BigArena stock. If a product "T-shirt" has variations XS/S/M/L × 3 colors = 12 combinations, they all get their own stock record.
How are PrestaShop returns handled?
The standard "Merchandise Return" flow in PrestaShop notifies BigArena via a hook. The warehouses inspect the returned goods (photos) and propagate the refund/return-to-stock decision back into PrestaShop.
Does it work with other PrestaShop plugins?
Yes. The module is namespaced (bigarena_) and does not clash with other modules. We have worked with popular add-ons: Doofinder, Klaviyo, Multi Vendor Marketplace, Advanced Search.
How do tracking numbers sync back into PrestaShop?
The module writes the tracking to the order courier meta and adds an entry to the order history. If you have the "Order Tracking" module active - it works automatically. The automatic tracking email is configurable.
How fast is pickup and delivery?
Orders placed by 14:00 business time, are packed and handed to a courier the same day. Delivery: BG (1-2 days), CS/RO/SK (2-4 days), rest of the EU (3-6 days).
Can I migrate from another fulfillment partner?
Yes. We work in phases: first stock sync (CSV or API), then testing with 5-10 orders in parallel, then a full cutover. Typically 1-2 weeks.
Do you handle food, supplements and cosmetics?
Yes. All warehouses are BFSA-certified. We follow FIFO and batch control - a must for regulated PrestaShop merchants in food/cosmetics.
