The basics

Ecwid by Lightspeed is an online store builder. It belongs to Lightspeed Commerce, a company from Canada.

A store you add to what you already have. Besides a standalone shop, Ecwid can be placed into an existing website or a social page, so many merchants start selling without rebuilding their site.

Shipping is still yours to organise. Ecwid takes the order. Keeping stock, packing and getting the parcel to the buyer is what BigArena handles.

Cash on delivery, 24 countries

You set the payout frequency in the panel, from monthly to daily; in Romania the maximum is twice a week. Any payout currency, with a transparent rate. No collection fee from us, only a courier's own fee where there is one.

Returns you can see

Returned and unclaimed parcels are unpacked and scanned product by product, then marked back to stock, defective or missing. The panel shows why it came back and in what state, and you decide on the refund. Done in 1-4 working days, usually 2.

Batches and best-before dates

Batch and expiry tracking (FEFO) is standard, every warehouse holds food certification, and picking accuracy is 100%. Good news for supplements, cosmetics and food.

Everything on record

Email notifications and our API cover all we do for you, including COD collected and paid out.

Selling under more than one name? Add as many stores as you need to one company account and run 5+ platforms side by side, for example an Ecwid store next to a PrestaShop shop, with no extra fee. A separate bank account per store for COD payouts gives you the COD flow and the P&L of each store.

My Ecwid store sits inside my existing website. Does that matter?

No. Its orders arrive automatically, wherever the store is shown.

Is there anything to install on my website?

Which information is synchronised?

Orders come into BigArena automatically; stock levels, order statuses and the COD payment status are synced. Everything is also available via API and email notifications.

Which courier delivers my parcels?

The one your customer chooses. We work with 40+ couriers.

Can I keep stock in more than one country?

Yes. We have 8 warehouses in 7 countries, and you decide where and in how many to store. The integration sends each order to the warehouse you set, usually once per destination country.

How is cash on delivery paid out?

We collect COD in 24 countries and pay out at the frequency you choose in the panel, from once a month up to daily, in Romania up to twice a week. Any currency, rate shown transparently, no COD collection fee from us.

How long do returns take?

1-4 working days, usually 2. Each product is scanned and marked OK, defective or missing, and you decide the refund in the panel.

Do you store supplements or cosmetics?

Yes. All our warehouses have food certification, and we track batches and expiry dates (FEFO).

How much does it cost?

The price follows an individual quote based on weight, destination, items per order and handling. There is no minimum number of orders per month.
